About Me: Hey! My name is Yessica and I’m from Prince George’s County, Maryland. I’m studying Neuroscience on a pre-med track. Growing up in the DMV, I’ve explored countless museums and parks, so I’m always happy to share recommendations for local spots or restaurants! Research Experience: I currently work as an undergraduate research assistant in the Fama Aphasia Recovery Lab in the Department of Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences under Dr. Fama, contributing to the Inner Speech and Naming Treatment Study and the Bilingual Study. I also worked as a research intern in the Triplett Laboratory under Dr. Triplett at Children’s National Hospital, studying the disruption of function and sensory processing deficits in fragile x syndrome.
