SURE Award

The Spring 2024 SURE Award Application is now OPEN!

The Sigelman Undergraduate Research Enhancement (SURE) Award seeks to promote and provide support to Honors students in their scientific, scholarly, and artistic endeavors.

Any current Honors Program student who is engaged in research may compete for an individual grant of up to $750 to support their research activities. Funds will be available to support research activities conducted during the spring, summer, and fall semesters. This fund is made possible by a generous endowment from the George Washington University professors Carol and Lee Sigelman. Honors students with strong proposals may also be considered for up to an additional $250 in SURE Award funding if they submit a proposal budget of up to $1000. (Note that you are not required to propose for the maximum amount.)

Eligibility: Students can be enrolled in any school of the university and must be first-year students, sophomores, juniors, or seniors. Research activities must be completed prior to graduation. Students must also secure the support of a GW faculty member.
