The University Honors Program seeks students with curiosity and a desire to challenge themselves. The program promotes creativity, intellectual rigor, and collaborative learning through small class experiences and a range of co-curricular activities. Honors students can be members of any undergraduate school at the George Washington University (GW).
Apply as a Prospective GW Student
To join the University Honors Program as you enter the university in your first year, you must apply to our program at the same time as you apply for admission to GW as a whole. Learn more about the application process below.

Every year, we admit a small cohort of 15 exceptionally qualified current first year GW students to join the program as sophomores. Learn more about the application process below.
