Honors Student Profile

Honors students are intellectual omnivores, ready and willing to explore any topic.

Approximately 500 undergraduate students from every undergraduate school of the George Washington University are enrolled in the University Honors Program. These students major in 52 different fields, ranging from international affairs to biomedical engineering, from dramatic literature to finance, and from political communication to chemistry.

No matter their major, Honors students are high-achievers. All students in the program are required to have a GPA of 3.4 or better to graduate with honors. Our students regularly take leadership roles in organizations across the university.  Honors students will find the familiar faces of their peers across campus in activities ranging from student affairs to intramural sports.
