About Me: Hallo! My name is Chrissy House and I am a senior in the Columbian College of Arts and Sciences double majoring in Creative Writing and English and German Language and Literature. I am from Hudson, Ohio, near Cleveland.

I spent last semester studying abroad in Freiburg, Germany, where I also started working on a GW Undergraduate Research Fellowship about German playwright Friedrich Schiller. In addition to study abroad and undergraduate research, I love advising students on music at GW—I play the violin in the GW Orchestra and will be treasurer of the organization this year. I am also a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars and the GW College Democrats.

I love photography and filmmaking, as well as writing screenplays and short stories. Natürlich interessiere ich mich auch für Deutsch (of course I’m also interested in German)! I’ve been playing the violin for 12 years and cannot imagine my life without music.

Favorite UHP Memory: My favorite Honors Program experiences have been living in Honors housing and the Honors dinners at the beginning and end of the year. The housing experience and these events really display the community that is the Honors Program—a tight-knit group of students excited to learn and pursue every avenue of the college experience!
